CHASE
MEET OUR FOUNDER
Founder & Lead Instructor
With a lifetime spent navigating the rugged landscapes of the American West and a deep-rooted passion for heritage skills, Chase founded Red Rock Nature School to bridge the gap between modern life and the natural world. His mission is simple: to foster a generation of resilient, capable individuals who respect the earth and understand their place within its delicate ecosystem.
ROOTED IN OUTDOOR EDUCATION
At Red Rock Nature School, learning happens through experience. Whether building shelters, tracking wildlife, working with tools, navigating with map and compass, or caring for the land, our students develop practical skills while discovering confidence, curiosity, and respect for the world and community around them.
CONFIDENCE THROUGH CHALLENGE
We believe growth happens just beyond our comfort zones. By introducing age-appropriate challenges in a supportive environment, students learn resilience, problem-solving, teamwork, and self-reliance. Mistakes aren't failures—they're an essential part of learning.
"At Red Rock Nature School, we believe that when children are trusted with responsibility, immersed in nature, and given the freedom to explore, they discover confidence, resilience, and a lifelong connection to the world around them."
Red Rock Nature School was founded from a simple belief: children need more time outdoors, more opportunities to solve real problems, and stronger connections to the world around them. Our programs blend traditional outdoor skills, ecological literacy, and hands-on adventure to create meaningful experiences that cannot be replicated inside a classroom.
Our instructors bring years of experience in wilderness education, mentorship, traditional skills, modern skills and outdoor leadership. Together, we strive to create a learning environment where curiosity is encouraged, confidence is earned, and every student is challenged to grow at their own pace.
Here, the weather, the seasons, and the landscape become part of the curriculum. Every class is an opportunity to build practical skills, deepen character, and develop respect for the land and for one another.
